VOLUNTEER

Volunteers play an essential role in meeting our goals of optimizing cat care, customer experience, and maximizing adoptions. We want our customers to feel how special this place is, from how they are greeted to the cleanliness and safety of the site, and our educational and fun experiences.

Volunteer Responsibilities

✓ Assist staff with greeting customers and making them feel welcome

✓ Interact with customers in the lounge, engaging them in conversation about the resident adoptable cats, our mission and general questions about the café arrangement and the adoption process.

✓ Ensure the cat lounge is kept clean for the cats and for our customers. This includes picking up left-behind items, cleaning litter boxes, sweeping/mopping, washing cat dishes, dusting, and vacuuming. Notify staff if cleaning supplies or cat litter seem to be running low.

✓ Manage music selection and volume in the cat lounge.

✓ Feed and water the cats according to protocol provided, notifying staff if any cat refuses food. Notify staff if food seems to be running low.
